“When we rise superior to the world, we shall create a new pattern.” -Ernest Holmes, founder of SOM

Whatever is not working in your life is inviting you to courageous transformation. Whatever you wish was different in your world is a gateway towards more Good, more Love, more God.

The original Serenity prayer, written in the early 1900’s by American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr.

Spirit, give us courage to change what must be altered, serenity to accept what cannot be helped, and the insight to know the one from the other.

The new pattern you long for requires you to gather up the courage to change!

When you align yourself with your divine nature, your true self, all the courage you need is right there. You can call on this divine courage to alter what must be altered. You can call on divine courage to choose to be an agent of change.

Agent: a person who acts on behalf of. A person that takes an active role.

Declare yourself a divine agent of change.

When you make a commitment to keep returning to your divine nature everything you need to meet whatever your life circumstances are is right there.

Try This:

Center yourself in the present moment. Bring attention to your breath, to your being, letting go of the past, letting go of worry for the future and just breathe into this very moment. And then ponder. Instead of pondering questions that are numbing or avoidant like “how can I make this go away?" "who’s to blame??" Ask yourself some juicy questions like "what does this make possible?" "What must be altered now?"

In the spaciousness of the present moment you gift yourself with allow the answers to come. Allow your prayers to be answered. Allow your divinity to guide you.

As a divine agent of change you can actively engage your divine nature on behalf of more Good, more Love, and more God in your life and in turn bringing more to the world.

Yay change! Yay Good! Yay Love! Yay God! Yay YOU!

You got this, Rev. Amani
