Just Us

“Can’t nobody be free unless we’re all free. There’s no me and no you, there’s just us.” - Brother Ali
There’s so much I am eager to share with you all about the Social Justice Ministry here at Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living. And I realize, that so much of what I have learned has come from my interactions with all of you. Through witnessing the bravery at our singing and acting performances, through learning about the work you are doing out in the world, and perhaps above all, through the love that this community gives to each other to create a place of support and magic and evolution, I am learning so much about what it means to live a life of love and freedom and justice.

This is the crux of social justice. It really is about being in community with each other, with all its complexities and challenges, with all of its joy and laughter. I am so grateful to be in a community where all the beautiful messiness that comes in working together, for one another, can allow us to grow in ways we simply couldn’t do on our own. Individually and collectively, we are walking the path of awakening.

Excited to see you on Sunday,
Rev. Masando
