This Sunday is Kiva Sunday. Stop by the Kiva Loan Table in the Social hall, and check out the map, make a loan. Check out the new opportunities to join the team, and to “Make loans that change lives.”

The first meeting for anyone interested in participating in the 'Community Presence and Service' task force will be on Thursday evening, October 13th @ 6:30p.m.

The ACSL community has been making its presence known in the Albuquerque community in a powerful way - such as the Gay Pride Parade and the upcoming Doggie Dash and Dawdle - as well as through service projects, including serving meals at Project Share, contributing to Keva loans, collecting "huggables" for Hug a Bear, and sorting donations at Roadrunner Food Bank.

This task force has been identified by the ACSL Boardof Trustees based on feedback from our quarterly community meetings. One goal of the task force is to develop a plan to identify and sustain community-based events and service projects which will increase our presence in the Albuquerque community (and beyond!) as well as provide meaningful opportunities for our ACSL community members to serve. Let's be open to whatever else may show up!

As one of my favorite contemporary mystics has said, "It is not how much you do but how much love you put into the doing . . . do ordinary things with extraordinary love . . . works of love are always works of joy." Mother Teresa.

Animal Sunday at The Center was a great success thanks to all you wonderful people who brought your pets, who donated all those items that the rescue groups need, who donated cash, and who enjoyed the delicious barbecue lunch on the patio under the shade structures. We were blessed with many dogs and cats, a bunny, a horse and some other exotic creatures that slipped by in the crowd. The horse was the part of the lesson of the day for our kids in Youth Ed. We had at least one dog who was out walking his owners and wandered in to be blessed, and at least one couple that saw the sign for "Adoption Today" and stopped in to check us out.
Despite last minute cancellation by some of the rescue groups, we had lots of animals available for adoption.   We are happy that each of these groups who showed up received $150 each as their share of the lunch proceeds and the cash donations. Paws & Stripes was unable to attend, but we were able to give them a $150 donation too.
Thanks to all, blessings to all, human and animal alike.

Another sacred service opportunity for our next Project Share dinner on Sunday Oct. 2.  We will be cooking on Friday the 29th starting about 1:00 PM and on Saturday the 1st starting at 9:00 AM, and we will put it all together on Sunday starting at noon.  We could use two or three to cut, chop, stir during those times.

We also have a need for Servers at project Share on Sunday afternoon, starting at 4:30 PM.

Do you want to live your life from a higher vision? Visioning opens up the possibilities in your life! This is the course for you.

An accredited class, the purpose of this course is to awaken to the transformational nature of Visioning, to learn the Visioning process, to understand the organic nature of manifestation and to be aware of its implementation in our lives and spiritual community.

You will acquire the following:
Learn to develop a greater awareness of God/Universe as your source .
Visioning as we teach it is a formal process and deep inner work..
However, you can carry the essence of Visioning with you when you are at work or part of a community event.
When decisions arise, ask the question: "What do you think is the highest and best idea for us now?"
Suppose that, today, you are completely living in the vision for your life. How would this day be different? Be brave. Live your dream!
"When one individual is true to his or her vision, it assists in Liberating everyone. When even one individual neutralizes or re-qualifies the thought forms of separation and lack and Limitation that run rampant in the human experience, he or she creates a spiritual vortex that allows others to be pulled Into that same vibration."
-Rev. Michael Beckwith, D.D.
