No matter where you are this Thanksgiving, whether choosing to celebrate with us at Albuquerque Center for Spiritual Living a beautiful Thanksgiving Eve service at 6:30 PM (childcare provided), or joining us for our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Feast at 2 PM, or far-away visiting family and friends, or enjoying the solitude of time to yourself, in this season for Gratitude, I want to give my sincerest blessing to each of you where ever your path takes you. Gratitude is a powerful state of being that gives a Spiritual context to the consumption of copious calories. A state of Thanksgiving, an acknowledgement of the bounty and abundance available to us at each moment, can allow us to change a holiday about a harvest in the year 1621 into a modern day celebration of all the good in our lives that would pass by unnoticed, if we didn't take the the time to slow down and be grateful. Thank you, each of you, for being a blessing in my life and in the life of this planet.

With gratitude and deep love,

Rev. Kylie Renner

With more than 31 children last Sunday we are truly in need of people willing to step into service with our Youth. The commitment is one sunday a month which totals 18 hours a year which can truly help change the life of a child in our community. Please consider joining our team.

We are also looking for someone interested in a paid position to head our nursery-age classroom. Please let our Youth Education team know if you are interested.

Finally we are looking for glass jars for an upcoming project. You can donate them anytime between now and Christmas.

Do you ever feel indifferent? You know that listless, blasé, and detached feeling , yeah that. Well I sometimes do too, and when I get to the point of feeling either so overwhelmed or underwhelmed that I forget to be astonished and awestruck by life I know it is time to resort to drastic measures to reclaim the wonder of life itself.

Join us on Sunday as we celebrate awe, wonder and the great beauty and mystery of it all.

With Great Love,
Rev. Kylie Renner

We've created a great deal of energy around 2012, the 5000-plus-year completion of the Mayan calendar. It was the same hype surrounding Y2K and the same energy that seems to arise every few months with predictions of the "End Days" and the Rapture. It seems that every time we turn around, we're confronted with evidence of a world out of balance—the economy, the environment, politics, and issues of social justice all become relentless echoes of our collective angst. Existential crises of meaning and purpose can take a pretty fatalistic turn if we're afraid that we're on the verge of the end of the world.

But what if we're not? What if we're making it all up? What if we are actually the creators of what comes next, both in our own lives and on the global level? The basic question is: Who do we see ourselves to be in relation to the whole, in relation to God?

We are the infinitely powerful creators of our lives, our world, and the future of humanity. We are not the victims of destiny, helpless in the face of circumstances that seem beyond our control. Rather, our destiny - our dharma, our purpose - is to nourish our souls with whatever turns us on, makes us feel most alive, most free, most joyful and fulfilled. And when we are living our bliss in this way, we grace each other's lives and enrich the world at the same time!

We're not heading for Armageddon in 2012, but we have an opportunity to experience "Dharmageddon" right now. The world is begging for it. Join us this Sunday as we explore purpose, passion, and power—for you, for the world, for our future.

With Great Love,

The world is calling you - yes, You!
The fullness of your self-expression, your talents and passions, is exactly what the the world needs right now.
You were born to be here. Your life has a purpose. And you get to decide what that purpose is.
Together, through deep listening and fun participatory exercises, we will explore the shape and scope of the unique call in every heart.
Come prepared to give up the idea: "I don't know what I want to do with my life," and "I wish I knew my purpose."
The world will be grateful!
