It’s always an honor to be able to be a part of the first service of the new year. And while 2017 was riddled with a plethora of things many of us are probably ready to leave behind, we are also presented with an opportunity to look forward to what is yet to come, to possibilities that can be, towards our greatest good that can come from all that we have learned and experienced in the past year. This means we get to honor what has passed, taking the wisdom from each moment great and small, and utilize them as a launching pad from which we rise into the new year with excitement, clarity and motivation.

So excited to launch into the new year with you!

Thich Nhat Hahn says, “The true miracle is not walking on water or walking in air, but simply walking on this earth.”

Join us this Christmas Eve morning at 9:15 and 11 AM where we will explore the miracle of walking here on the earth and the power of the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth while he walked here on earth that remind us that we all have the power to heal and transform our lives.

Imagine

I’m a big fan of imagination. I agree with Einstein and others that imagination is an untapped power that can be used for so much good. With imagination, we plan a future that excites us, we get ourselves out of difficult situations, imagine life beyond grief, and even think about meaning and purpose and giant questions like death and the beyond.

This Candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7 PM will focus on the power of our imaginations to set outside what has been, creatively change what is, and step into infinite possibilities.

Please bless us with your presence.

"Singing is an act of vibration. It takes music from the realm of the unformed-- whether that is in your mind or from that magical space of inspiration--and moves it from within to without.
Even if you are not a singer by nature or talent, you are not left out. If you have a voice, it is your birthright to celebrate life with song.”-Madyson Taylor

Come join us this Saturday at 6 PM to raise our voices in celebration and unity. Social time at 5:30 PM.

Love,

"If we're strong enough to let it in, we're strong enough to let it go." - Birdy, Musical Artist

Who among us has not had to let something go? Whether it's letting go of a loved one, letting go of a relationship, letting go of a role or identity, or letting go of a belief about yourself or the world, it seems to be a truth in life that one of the things we're eventually going to have to learn (no matter how hard we try to convince ourselves otherwise) is this uncomfortable and beautiful thing called letting go.

The need to let go is actually a good thing! It is simply pointing to the fact that you have been brave enough and vulnerable enough and bold enough to have allowed the experience of Love into your life. If you are somehow being called to let go, it is most likely because you have had a true and great Love for whatever it is that now, in its absence, is bringing you pain.

Know that you are a being that was meant to love, and that this being human brings with it the capacity both to love and to let go.

Can’t wait to see you for the last Wednesday Night Service of 2017.

Happy Hour starts at 6. Service starts at 6:30!

See you Then,

Continuing in the wisdom exploration of the elements during this season of light, our next stop is fire. The energy of knowledge, passion and transformation is found through fire and we will explore both the destructive and creative forces found though walking through the flames and carrying forth the light.

Join us on Sunday to kindle, carry and tend the fire.

I have always been drawn to the devotional practices that are found through out all the world's religions. To name just a few: Sufis dance. Buddhists chant. Catholics pray with a rosary. Protestants sing hymns. Orthodox Christians meditate on icons. Hindus gather to receive blessings in temples. Jews wrap themselves in a prayer shawl. Native Americans bring up the sun. Muslims make a pilgrimage.

This Saturday we will explore how to be clear about what we are devoted to and how to create our own personal devotional practice that feeds us deeply. Join us for Social time at 5:30 and service at 6 PM.
